It’s a new year, start dressing like it.

Today is the beginning of a new series. To call it “Work Outfit of the Week” sounds cliche and somewhat lame but that’s what we’re calling it. This week’s outfit comes all from one great website : Modcloth.com. Somewhat of an Urban Outfitters feel but much less targeted to hipsters and indie rockers. This place has great clothes for great prices.

I wouldn’t recommend this outfit for every office.  Shoplet’s office is “business casual” but tends to lean more on the casual side. This is the perfect “I live in NY and work at a local ad agency or design shop.” Throw on the yellow skirt, tuck in the lace top (or let it hang out!) and cover it up with the green cardigan (leave a couple buttons open just so you can see a little lace), then add the tights (unless it’s summer) and these cute oxford boyish shoes. Accessorize with some seriously cute sailboat earrings, rayban style glasses and a circle purse. Yep, LOVE it.
